About Us

Our client is a premier training provider specialising in offshore safety, survival, technical, and specialized fire training courses for the aviation, oil & gas, maritime, and renewables sectors.

As a leading approved centre for aviation fire and rescue standards, including those aligned with ICAO, CAA, and international aviation bodies, they deliver high-quality, hands-on programs. With state-of-the-art facilities in Kochi, including simulated aircraft fire scenarios and live fire training grounds, they are committed to excellence in practical education, safety compliance, and client outcomes, empowering professionals to handle critical emergencies in aviation environments.

The Role

As an Aviation Fire Instructor, you will deliver specialized training programs focused on aircraft fire prevention, suppression, and rescue techniques. This hands-on, instructional role involves leading practical sessions, simulating real-world aviation fire scenarios, assessing delegate performance, and ensuring compliance with global aviation safety standards. You'll play a key role in preparing aviation personnel, such as airport firefighters, cabin crew, and ground staff, to respond effectively to fire-related incidents, contributing to enhanced safety and certification outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training modules on aviation fire behaviour, extinguishing agents, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct practical exercises using aircraft mock-ups, live fire simulators, and rescue equipment to build delegate skills in fire ground operations.
  • Assess participant competencies through theoretical exams, practical evaluations, and scenario-based drills, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain training equipment, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and update course materials based on industry developments.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to schedule sessions, customise programs for corporate clients (e.g., airlines or airports), and handle group sizes from individuals to large cohorts.
  • Contribute to course development by incorporating feedback, staying current with aviation fire standards, and supporting accreditation processes.
  • Achieve delivery targets by ensuring high pass rates, delegate satisfaction, and repeat business from aviation sector clients.
  • Support promotional activities, such as demos or webinars, to showcase aviation fire training expertise.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a fire instructor or in aviation fire and rescue operations (minimum 3 years), preferably in airport or airline settings.
  • Strong practical knowledge of aviation firefighting techniques, including ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting) standards, foam applications, and incident command systems.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in training delivery tools, MS Office.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, including outdoor practical sessions and handling physically demanding training scenarios.

Desirable:

  • Multilingual skills, such as English, Hindi, Urdu, or Malayalam, to train international or regional delegates.
  • Familiarity with related certifications like OPITO.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package with performance incentives, bonuses for high delegate feedback scores, and additional perks.
  • Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
  • Ongoing professional development, including advanced certifications in aviation safety and instructor methodologies.
  • Modern training facilities in Kochi with access to cutting-edge simulators and a collaborative, safety-focused team.
  • Clear pathways for career progression into lead instructor, training manager, or specialised aviation safety roles.
