JOB TITLE: Fire Instructor

REPORTING TO: Training Centre Manager

NO OF POSITIONS: 2 No's

NATIONALITY: Indian

ABOUT COMPANY: Global Safety Services Group, inc. GSS Training

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: 

  • Proven expertise in Firefighting with practical knowledge of Helicopter emergency response
  • A minimum of 5 years of Supervisory-level experience is a must.
  • Previous Instructor experience is highly desirable.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Diploma or equivalent
  • Recognised Teaching and Assessor Qualifications.
  • First Aid Qualification (MER Level 1)
  • Letter of Competency from the previous employer

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering fire training programs to certify trainees to NFPA and other international standards to ensure competency levels are met while ensuring compliance with health & safety policies & procedures. Candidate should have exceptional knowledge of fire ground operations in municipal and industrial settings.

MAIN ROLE:

  • Teaches Fire and Rescue courses according to the accredited course packages and in accordance with defined course standards and outcomes.
  • Creates a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation.
  • The incumbent delivers training and supports drills throughout the Organization
  • Provide MER Level 1 response in the event of an emergency
  • Conducts training needs analysis for employees related to Fire & Rescue Policy and Procedures. 
  • Assist with developing training courses for fire and rescue.
  • Deliver and assess professional training by adhering to all procedures in training delivery to maintain a professional delivery standard.
  • Evaluate the students’ training progress, achievements, course knowledge and skills through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Perform activities for the maintenance of fire and related safety systems.

 

WORKING HOURS: 8.30 AM to 6:00 PM 

WORKING DAYS: Monday to Friday

ANNUAL LEAVE: 28 Days

FINANCIAL PACKAGE: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
