JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main Role

To assist the client in all aspects of managing and planning day-to-day Rigger/lifting activities on-site as required for maintenance and campaign works in line with
approved procedures and guidelines.

Operational Responsibilities

• Plan and execute day-to-day and future rigging/Lifting tasks for maintenance and campaign work on-site in line with approved procedures and guidelines.

• Create Lifting and Rigging plans in accordance with company/international standards.

• Ensure availability according to colour code standards the right equipment and consumables for ongoing and future activities.

• Complete job-related lifting operations risk assessments prior to the start of tasks

• Complete job-related Rigging/Lifting plans prior to the start of tasks.

• Assist Campaign Supervisors with hours and material estimation for ongoing and future activities

• Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary), noting special comments and logging man-hours for relevant work.

• Ensure that all tools, materials and equipment are maintained and kept in good condition.

• Participate in the planning and supervising of the execution of shutdown tasks for this discipline.

• Obtain, renew and complete work permits, and distribute them to the individual work teams.

• Regularly updates the master layout platform plan in CCR with current tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible to ensure all the scaffolding in Construction project the in accordance with the prevailing standards, procedures, and laws.

  • Monitor the design, certification of all scaffolding structure on site according to all relevant specifications and standards.

  • Inspect all scaffolds erected with the boundaries of Project construction sites to ensure they are suitable for safe use, and comply with the relevant industrial standards, Company permit work procedures.

  • Inspect and assess the condition of the scaffolding material and reject damaged, defective, and substandard material.

  • Provides technical advice on scaffolding works and participate in work requiring higher level skills.

  • Ensure that materials for scaffolds are marked and kept in good condition and safely used.

  • Has capability to calculate the counterweight for outboard of heavy duty suspended

    scaffolding.

  • Ensure awareness of and compliance with HSE rules and regulations by the EPC contractor.

  • Design and preplanning of the scaffold including the weight of limitations, scaffold type, fall

    protection, tie off-s, supports, etc.

  • Overseeing the erection of the scaffold

  • Final inspection of the scaffold prior to initial occupation for use.

  • At a minimum, daily inspection and documentation of the condition of the scaffold and its ability

    to be occupied safely.

  • Inspections of scaffolds after changes / alterations have been made.

  • Ensuring scaffolding contractors’ work performance and schedule meet the requirements for a safe scaffolding installation.

  • Provide daily supervisory surveillance checks and records, ensuring that contractors’ management and supervision are providing safe working conditions and permit procedures, protective equipment, experienced/qualified supervision, and manpower, with reliable, well- maintained equipment to execute the contracted works as per contract schedule and targets.

    with agreed codes, laws, working practices and health and safety.

  • Implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that all lifting activities are completed safely and efficiently and within the boundaries of the approved lifting plan and safe system of work (ISSOW)
  • Accountable for Safety and implementing Standards
  • Review all lift plans to ensure that they are appropriate for the lifting operation in hand, the correct approval and authorisation process has been followed, and that the prescribed risk controls measures are in place
  • Ensure that the lifting equipment selected for the lifting operation has been subjected to the required pre- use visual integrity inspection and confirm it is fit for purpose
  • Ensure that all lift team members have the necessary competence for performing their roles, are aware of the procedures to be followed, and their specific responsibilities in the safe execution of the lift
  • Brief all personnel involved with or affected by the performance of the lifting operation (Tool box talk).
  • Monitor the performance of personnel involved in the lifting operations to ensure that adequate standards of performance are maintained
  • Make allowance for any concurrent or simultaneous operations that may affect or be affected by the lift, e.g. helicopter operations, other cranes etc.
  • Support the development of a suitable and competent work force capable of the safe execution of lifting operations, particularly Stage 1 & 2 trainee riggers.

 

SKILLS TESTING: English language to a level that satisfies the standards of the Safety English Test (SET). Trade / Skills Test prior to mobilisation.

 

FINANCIAL PACKAGE: 293 QAR a day. Short-term project (6 months)

 

MOBILISATION DATE: 2nd week of October
