Position: Offshore Scaffolder - 80 positions available

Location: Offshore Qatar

Employment Type: Contract / Rotational

Rotation: 42/42 (42 days on / 42 days off)

Start Date: End of November

Salary: 32.80 USD Per day

- Additional: 3.01 USD Per Hr OT After 12 Hrs. 60% of daily rate if standby. 70% of daily rate for trainings outside training matrix. 30% of daily rate as incentive for field break if mobilized to offshore without off-rota. F.A.T Provided by Employer. Joining & Rota tickets provided by Employer.

The Role

As an Offshore Scaffolder, you will be responsible for the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures on offshore platforms, rigs, and vessels. This adhoc, rotational role involves working in dynamic offshore environments, adhering to strict safety protocols, and contributing to maintenance, construction, and shutdown activities. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support safe access for operations in challenging conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Erect, inspect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding systems in compliance with industry standards (e.g., TG20, BS EN 12811).
  • Conduct risk assessments and method statements for scaffolding tasks.
  • Ensure all work meets health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and emergency response drills.
  • Maintain scaffolding equipment and report any defects or issues.
  • Support project teams during turnarounds, installations, or maintenance operations.
  • Adhere to rotational schedules and travel to mobilization points as required (flights and logistics provided).
  • Contribute to incident-free operations and continuous improvement in scaffolding practices.

Requirements

Essential:

  • CISRS Level 1 certification (or equivalent recognised scaffolding qualification).
  • Basic English proficiency: Minimum SET test grade 31 or above (to be completed online at https://www.efset.org in exam-style conditions; not on mobile devices). A telephone interview will be conducted to verify.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous offshore experience in scaffolding roles.
  • Valid offshore survival certification (e.g., BOSIET or equivalent) and medical fitness (e.g., OGUK or similar).
  • Physical fitness for working at heights, in harsh weather, and lifting heavy loads.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts (42/42), including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable:

  • CISRS Level 2 certification (or equivalent recognised scaffolding qualification).
  • Additional tickets such as OPITO IMIST, Electrical Safety Awareness, OPITO Control of Work, OPITO Gas Monitoring, OPITO Confined Space Awareness, Fire Watc, OPITO Working at Height
  • Multilingual skills, such as English, Hindi, Urdu, or Malayalam.
  • Experience in major EPC projects.
