ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: Min. 15 years of professional experience in lifting operations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- OPITO Rigger Competence Assessment Stage 3
- OPITO Banksman & Slinger Competence Assessment Stage 3
- LOLER Competent Person, or LEEA appointed person
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recognised Teaching qualification.
- Recognised Assessor qualification.
- IOSH / NEBOSH
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
SALARY: 13,000 QAR per month, including Food and Accommodation.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The role of the INSTRUCTOR / ASSESSOR is to deliver an array of training programs related to their area of subject matter expertise and to assess student learning in order to determine competence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- Teaches courses according to the GSS course packages and in accordance with defined course standards and outcomes.
- Deliver of LIfting courses LEEA, OPITO.
- Conduct maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct workplace competency assessment in Rigging, Banksman, and Crane Operations.
- Act as GSS LOLER Competent Authority in Lifting; planning, preparing and authorizing lifts.
- Create a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation
- Documents students' attendance, participation, and academic progress by assessing performance both theoretically and practically.
- Provide feedback both verbally and by issuing reports to students within expected time frames.
- Update administration systems with results and issue certificates.
- Perform maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment and facilities when required to do so.
- Provide subject matter input to the product development team
- Performs maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment and facilities when required to do so.
- Provide MER LEvel 1 response in the event of an emergency
- Provide MER Level 1 response in the event of an emergency.
ANNUAL LEAVE: 28 working days.
