REPORTING TO: Training Center Manager

MOBILIZATION: Immediate

 

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:  Min. 15 years of professional experience in lifting operations.

 

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:  

 

  • OPITO Rigger Competence Assessment Stage 3
  • OPITO Banksman & Slinger Competence Assessment Stage 3
  • LOLER Competent Person, or LEEA appointed person

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Recognised Teaching qualification.
  • Recognised Assessor qualification.
  • IOSH / NEBOSH

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. 

 

SALARY: 13,000 QAR per month, including Food and Accommodation. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe role of the INSTRUCTOR / ASSESSOR is to deliver an array of training programs related to their area of subject matter expertise and to assess student learning in order to determine competence. 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS: 

 

  • Teaches courses according to the GSS course packages and in accordance with defined course standards and outcomes.
  • Deliver of LIfting courses LEEA, OPITO.
  • Conduct maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct workplace competency assessment in Rigging, Banksman, and Crane Operations.
  • Act as GSS LOLER Competent Authority in Lifting; planning, preparing and authorizing lifts.
  • Create a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation
  • Documents students' attendance, participation, and academic progress by assessing performance both theoretically and practically.
  • Provide feedback both verbally and by issuing reports to students within expected time frames.
  • Update administration systems with results and issue certificates.
  • Perform maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment and facilities when required to do so.
  • Provide subject matter input to the product development team
  • Performs maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment and facilities when required to do so.
  • Provide MER LEvel 1 response in the event of an emergency
  • Provide MER Level 1 response in the event of an emergency. 

 

ANNUAL LEAVE: 28 working days.
