ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: Min. 15 years of professional experience in lifting operations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

OPITO Rigger Competence Assessment Stage 3
- OPITO Banksman & Slinger Competence Assessment Stage 3
- LOLER Competent Person, or LEEA appointed person
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Recognised Teaching qualification.
- Recognised Assessor qualification.
- IOSH / NEBOSH
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
SALARY: 13,000 QAR per month, including Food and Accommodation.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The role of the INSTRUCTOR / ASSESSOR is to deliver an array of training programs related to their area of subject matter expertise and to assess student learning in order to determine competence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
Teaches courses according to the GSS course packages and in accordance with defined course standards and outcomes.
Delivery of lifting courses LEEA, OPITO
Conduct maintenance of equipment
Conduct workplace competency assessments in rigging, banksman, crane operations
Act as GSS LOLER Competent Authority in lifting; planning, preparing and authorizing lifts
Creates a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation.
- Documents students’ attendance, participation, and academic progress by assessing performance both theoretically and practically.

Provides feedback both verbally and by issuing reports to students within expected time frames.

Updates administration systems with results and issues certificates.

Performs maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment and facilities when required to do so.

Provides subject matter input to the product development team.

Provide MER Level 1 response in the event of an emergency.
ANNUAL LEAVE: 28 working days.
