The Role

As an HSE Instructor, you will deliver OPITO-approved courses including Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, IMIST (International Minimum Industry Safety Training), and Control of Work. This engaging role involves classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, and assessments to equip delegates with critical HSE skills for onshore and offshore environments, ensuring compliance and risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver OPITO-approved training modules on Confined Space, Working at Height, IMIST, and Control of Work, covering hazard identification, risk management, and safe practices.
• Facilitate hands-on exercises, simulations, and scenario-based learning using training equipment like harnesses, rescue gear, and confined space simulators.
• Assess delegate competency, provide feedback, and issue OPITO certifications upon successful completion.
• Maintain training equipment and facilities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and OPITO audit requirements.
• Conduct custom HSE workshops and refresher sessions for clients in oil & gas, renewables, and maritime sectors.
• Travel to client sites or satellite centers as needed (up to 40% travel).
• Contribute to quality assurance, internal audits, and continuous improvement of HSE training programs.

Requirements

Essential:

• Industry experience or qualifications in Confined Space, Working at Height, IMIST, and Control of Work modules.
• Instructional qualifications (e.g., Train the Trainer, Assessor awards like A1/V1).
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations (e.g., OPITO standards, SOLAS, IMO, confined space entry codes).
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups in practical HSE scenarios.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in oil & gas, maritime, or industrial settings, including offshore exposure.
• Physical fitness to demonstrate working at height and confined space exercises; valid medical certificate.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and travel internationally.
• For ex-service personnel, all training will be provided.

Desirable:

• Additional OPITO approvals (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) or NEBOSH/IOSH certifications.
• Multilingual skil
