The Role
As a LEEA Qualified Lifting Equipment Inspection Instructor, you will deliver, and assess LEEA licenced training courses on lifting equipment inspection, ensuring participants gain practical skills and theoretical knowledge aligned with LEEA standards. This hands-on role involves classroom sessions, practical demonstrations, and site-based training, with opportunities for international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging LEEA-accredited courses on lifting equipment inspection, including slings, hoists, cranes, and rigging gear.
- Conduct assessments, provide feedback, and certify successful delegates.
- Perform equipment demonstrations and simulations to emphasize safe inspection techniques.
- Mentor junior instructors and support continuous improvement in training programs.
- Travel to client sites or training centers as required (up to 50% travel).
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to audits for LEEA accreditation compliance.
Requirements
Essential:
- Full LEEA qualification (e.g., LEEA Advanced Programme or equivalent certification in lifting equipment inspection).
- Proven experience as a Lifting Equipment Inspector (minimum 5 years in the field).
- Strong instructional skills with experience delivering training to diverse groups (e.g., PTLLS, Train the Trainer, or equivalent teaching qualification).
- In-depth knowledge of lifting regulations, risk assessments, and failure analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical audiences.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
