Salary Package: USD 5,000 per month and it's based on Interview.

Contract Duration: 02 years

 

Rotation: Project dependant.

                                      

Working Hours: 08

 

Working Days: Saturday to Thursday

 

Essential Experience:

 

  • Minimum 03 - 05 years of Offshore experience working as an Appointed Person.
  • Good experience in making Lifting Plans.
  • Familiarity with offshore oil and gas industry standards and practices.

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

  • D.M.E or B.E. Mechanical Engineering.
  • Valid LEEA Appointed Person certification.
  • ADNOC Tutor approved Mobile Crane Certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, techniques, and safety regulations.

 

Specific Knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. 

 

Job Description: The LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) Appointed Person is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of lifting operations offshore. This role involves planning, supervising, and coordinating all lifting activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

 

  • Develop detailed lifting plans and risk assessments.
  • Ensure all lifting operations comply with LEEA and other relevant standards.
  • The Appointed Person has operational control of the lift and Is designated as being in charge of planning, coordinating, controlling and executing the lift.
  • Selecting the correct crane and accessories for the specific task.
  • Prepare the lift plan and ensure the required controls are in place.
  • Checks that load integrity and stability are satisfactory.
  • Ensures that people involved are competent in performing their task, aware of the task and procedures to be followed, and aware of their responsibilities.
  • Ensure a competent supervisor is available should the Appointed Person delegate his duties or part thereof to others.
  • Maintain accurate records of all lifting operations, including lift plans, risk assessments, and equipment inspections.
  • Ensure all other statutory requirements and any necessary work permits are in place.
  • Identify all hazards and restricted areas.
  • Coordinate with the Offshore Operations Manager and other stakeholders to schedule and prioritize lifting activities.
  • Supervise lifting teams, including riggers and crane operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ensure all lifting equipment is properly certified, maintained, and inspected.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on lifting activities, incidents, and equipment status to the Offshore Operations Manager.
  • Emergency Procedures in case of damage or impairment to the crane during operation, and for safe recovery of the crane to a holding location on the installation.
